Building a Statewide Network for Sustainable Development
The establishment of the Sustainable Development Centre (SDC), Amravati, marks a strategic milestone in our vision to build a strong, decentralized ecosystem for sustainable development across Maharashtra. As our Special Regional Office for the Vidarbha Region, SDC Amravati is already developing a structured network of NGOs serving as District Coordinators across the Amravati and Nagpur Divisions.
From 2027 onwards, we envision taking this model statewide by establishing Regional Centres across the remaining divisions of Maharashtra and appointing District Coordinators in every district of the State.
This expansion will create a grassroots-to-regional network for sustainable development, enabling us to connect local communities, NGOs, institutions, government agencies, technical experts, entrepreneurs and corporate partners to collectively address challenges related to climate action, sustainable agriculture, rural livelihoods, water and sanitation, skill development, biodiversity, entrepreneurship and inclusive economic growth.
Our vision is to transform the SDC network into a statewide platform for innovation, collaboration and measurable sustainable development impact — from the village to the State level.

Susteno Foundation was incorporated under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013. Headquartered in Pune, our journey began with a vision to drive sustainable development across India through innovation and community action.

Expanded our volunteer network to over 350 active members and trained 120+ interns. Launched new initiatives in climate action, women empowerment, and digital literacy, strengthening our commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
